COMEM 2009 - NYCA delegation visit to Brussels

The Council of Members (COMEM) of the European Youth Forum took place on 8th of May 2009 in the capital of Belgium during which several issues were discussed. One of the points of the meeting was the election of the secretary general of YFJ. Giuseppe Porcaro - United Nations and Global Youth Affairs Coordinator at European Youth Forum - was elected the secretary general by the majority of the votes. The representative of NYCA in YFJ was Lilit Asatryan.

About NYCA

In Soviet times overfilled with national ideology the students in Armenia played an important role in the state developments of Kharabagh movement fighting against injustice, historical mistakes and fake nature of Soviet government. In the formation process of independence and Artsakh movement, later in the state formation of Armenia the youth appeared to be not just a participant but also the carrier of the results. Many Armenian students, young people, volunteers became combatants in the liberation detachments.
